sagot (“we”, “us”) provides an AI buyer-chat tool for online sellers at sagot.shop. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using sagot you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account data — your email and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google.
- Shop content you provide — product details, prices, branding, business info, and FAQs you add or that we scrape from links you submit.
- Buyer chat messages — questions buyers send to your shop’s chat and the AI’s replies, kept so you can review them.
- Usage & technical data — IP address, timestamps, and basic activity used for rate-limiting, abuse prevention, and analytics.
- Payments — payment reference details and receipt images you upload for manual verification. We do not store card numbers.
How we use it
- To run the service — generate AI answers grounded on your catalog, host your chat page and widget, and show you buyer activity.
- To secure the platform — prevent spam, abuse, and fraud.
- To process subscriptions and send service emails (verification, receipts, reminders, support replies, and buyer-handoff alerts).
Sharing with third parties
We share data only with providers that help us operate sagot:
- AI provider (OpenRouter and the underlying model) — chat messages and your catalog/business info are sent to generate replies.
- Email provider — to deliver transactional emails.
- Google — only if you choose Google sign-in.
We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies
We use a single, essential session cookie to keep you logged in, and a short-lived cookie during Google sign-in. We don’t use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Data retention & security
We keep data while your account is active. Passwords are hashed (bcrypt); the site is served over HTTPS. You can delete a shop (and its products and chat history) at any time from your dashboard, or ask us to delete your account.
Your choices
You can access, correct, or delete your shop data from your dashboard. To request account deletion or a copy of your data, contact us at the address below.
Children
sagot is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll revise the “last updated” date above.
